Project Manager
Karina Nordbak brings a strong track record of program design and implementation as well as overall nonprofit administration to her role as Draper Consulting Group’s Project Manager. She has worked primarily in healthcare, social services, and the arts, and has played a critical role in the development of systems and strategies for sustainable programs during major organizational growth periods.
Prior to joining DCG, Ms. Nordbak led the program department of CoachArt, an organization providing arts and athletic lessons to chronically ill children in Los Angeles. She collaborated with healthcare professionals, community agencies, and private companies to enhance the program and increase organizational capacity through the development of new and more efficient systems of program management and monitoring outcomes.
Ms. Nordbak previously spent four years building the operational infrastructure of PADRES Contra El Cáncer, an organization committed to improving the lives of Latino children with cancer and their families. At this time, she was also actively involved as a volunteer leader with TreePeople, an organization that encourages communities to take personal responsibility for the urban environment. Earlier in her career, she worked as a paralegal providing pro se civil legal services to incarcerated men and women in Maryland through Alternative Directions, Inc.
Ms. Nordbak is an avid outdoorswoman and seasoned traveler, both in the U.S. and abroad. As a college student, she traveled extensively throughout Europe and parts of Africa. She served as a Spanish translator and volunteer during a rural archaeological excavation in Spain and has since often served as a bilingual Spanish speaker during volunteer projects in the Los Angeles community.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and English at Ripon College in Wisconsin.
